Located within the Greater Toronto Area, Durham Region on the Oak Ridge’s Moraine, Pathways On Pleasure Valley is about 45 minutes northeast of Toronto, an ideal escape from the city, our camp blends traditional summer camp activities with fun horse riding lessons, creating an unforgettable experience for children.

NEW! Camp Corral

7 – 14 years
Delivered in partnership with city of Vaughan

Wonder awaits each camper at this western-style riding ranch boasting 225 of the most breathtaking and tranquil horseback riding forest trails, a charming lodge, a large indoor arena, well-kept grounds, and compassionate horsemanship practices. Daily riding instruction and supervision are provided for approximately one hour by experienced and well-trained stable staff, complemented by a 30-minute horse activity (grooming, general care, stable management) that adds an extra layer of connection with the majestic four-legged companions. Plus, campers enjoy a horse show on Friday afternoon. But adventure extends beyond the saddle. This camp proudly offers a diverse range of alternative activities that promise excitement, exploration and a well-rounded experience. From invigorating hikes, sports and hands-on crafts to engaging nature exploration and farm animal interaction, every moment at Camp Corral will captivate, educate and inspire young hearts.

Note

Camp fee includes bus transportation from Vellore Village Community Centre or North Thornhill Community Centre. Bus departure is 7:45am from Vellore Village Community Centre and 8:20am from North Thornhill Community Centre. Camp programming will commence upon arrival at Pathways on Pleasure Valley at approximately 9:00am and will continue until departure at 3:45pm. The bus will return to North Thornhill Community Centre at 4:25pm and to Vellore Village Community Centre at 5pm. Bus pick-up and drop-off times are approximate and may vary between sessions. Bus routes can be between 45-75 minutes in length, from start to finish. Although every attempt is made to meet exact bus times, unforeseen circumstances (i.e. traffic, construction, weather) may delay buses. Camper groups are based upon riding skills first, request and age similarity second. Before & After Care is available from 7:30am until bus departure and after bus drop-off until 6pm. An ASTM/SEI approved riding helmet and paddock riding boots (ankle high, with one-inch heel) are required, and gloves are highly recommended. Required riding equipment is not provided nor included in the camp fee.

Camp Hours

The camp day is 8:30am to 4:30pm. Camp programming runs from 9am to 4pm. Before & After Care is available for campers who require care before the camp day begins, from 7:30-8:30am, and after the camp day has ended, from 4:30-6pm. Separate registration is required

Horseback Trail rides every hour

Any time is a great time for a trail ride, and so we have rides going out 6 days a week in the Summer; 5 days a week during fall season; weekends are always open all year round. Please book ahead to ensure your riding spot(s). No guarantee without an appointment.

Summer Schedule

Fall Schedule (daylight dependent)

(September 1st to October 31st)
10:00 am: First ride departs
5:30 pm: Last ride of the day

2:30 pm: Last ride of the day

Group and private trail rides

All our trail rides are guided rides, and are available as group or private rides. We also offer an extended, proposal ride for just the two of you.

Regular Guided Trail Ride

Suitable for any level of riders age 10 years and up; minimum of 2 riders; maximum of 15 riders per ride. $85 / person, 1 hour

Private Guided Trail Rides

Suitable for any level of riders age 7 years and up; minimum of 2 riders per ride. $215 / 2 riders, 1 hour

Extended Rides

Suitable for any level of riders age 10 years and up; minimum of 2 riders per ride. $320 / 2 riders, 1.5 hours

Proposal Rides

$480 / 2 riders, 1.5 hours Looking to propose? Take your partner on an hour and a half trail ride through our private forest alongside a trail guide. Please contact the office when booking a proposal ride so we can provide you with more information and help you plan the perfect proposal!
